Jashin-chan of Makaria Dropkick: The fourth season's crowdfunded offshoot Seikimatsu-hen is distinct.
The Jashin-chan Dropkick: Seikimatsu-hen (Dropkick on My Devil! Apocalypse Arc) television anime episode will debut on the BS NTV channel in the winter of 2023, according to the official website for the Dropkick on My Devil! (Jashin-chan Dropkick) television anime, which made the announcement on Friday. The website makes a point of differentiating this television spinoff from the crowdfunded fourth season of the anime. Makaria is animating the spinoff episode in contrast to the previous anime.
The municipality of Takamori in Kumamoto Prefecture collaborated on the anime. Fist of the North Star is referenced in the title, artwork, and iconography of the anime. The anime depicts Yurine as the despotic ruler of a Jinbocho that has been reduced to rubble by a meteor strike. Jashin-chan travels south, guided by the stars to fight Yurine, and has an odd encounter in Takamori.
In July 2018, the first anime season debuted. Both inside and outside of Japan, the anime is only available for viewing on Amazon Prime Video. The last bonus episode's Amazon Prime Video debut occurred in October 2018. Dropkick on My Devil!! Dash, the second season, debuted in April 2020 with 11 episodes. The entire 11-episode season was available to view on Crunchyroll.
The third season of the anime, titled Dropkick on My Devil! X, debuted in July 2022. The show was streamed live via Crunchyroll.
A prosperous crowdsourcing effort for the anime's third season was also initiated in September 2020 and completed in December 2020. For that campaign, 2,880 backers contributed 36,181,238 yen, or about $351,100. The season's title was chosen thanks to a campaign supporter who donated 1.1 million yen (about $10,000) and indicated that it was done in the hopes that "Yurine and Jashin-chan will continue to cross each other and fight forever."
The original manga was published by Yukiwo in Flex Comix's online publication Comic Meteor in April 2012, and the series is still going today.
Within 35 minutes of the campaign's introduction on November 30 of last year, the crowdfunding drive for the anime's fourth season reached its initial 30 million yen (about $235,00) goal. The campaign ultimately raised 115,964,266 yen, or nearly $865,200, in total. For the most funds raised by an anime production endeavor, the staff submitted a Guinness World Record application.
