The next shonen action manga by Magi's author is now available! Teenager Musashi lives under the control of demons. He and his best friend made a vow when they were young to become the greatest warriors in the world and defeat the demons. However, life has other plans, and five years later he is preparing to start working as a miner. Can Musashi, however, really be content with a "normal" life?Musashi and Kojiro, closest friends since the age of 10, listened intently as Kojiro's father told stories about horrible demons that preyed on the helpless and the heroes who slew them. The two make a pact to become the strongest people in the world while practicing swordplay, but as they get older, Kojiro becomes pessimistic and Musashi realizes he can't end 150 years of demon tyranny by himself. He is almost ready to transition into a life of work and is being referred to as a prodigy with a pickaxe. He can't help but feel that he still has a duty to take action, and that the injustices in his environment will eventually compel him to do so.
The anime adaptation of the manga had its first cours, or first quarter, premiere in Japan in January 2022. The anime and its English dub were both streamed on Crunchyroll. The second season of the anime, which focused on the "Awajishima Gekit-hen" (Fierce Battle at Awaji Island Arc) of the original manga, debuted on TV Tokyo in July 2022. Both the English dub and the second season of the anime were streamed on Crunchyroll.
After concluding her five-year run of Sumomo Momomo, Ohtaka debuted the Magi manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday in 2009. Magi's run was over in October 2017.
Two 25-episode anime series were produced as a result of Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (2012) and Magi: The Kingdom of Magic (2013). The Magi: Adventure of Sinbad offshoot manga by Yoshifumi Tera first appeared as a bonus on the Magi anime's home video release before beginning as a full-fledged series. An original video anime series and a television anime series were later inspired by the spinoff.
