Levi Ackerman from Attack on Titan is one of the numerous strong troops that appear in anime, but he is not the only one.
Although there are many strong characters in anime who are prepared to put their lives in danger to defend the world, not all of these heroes can be categorized as soldiers. A soldier is someone who has received military training and is prepared to put themselves in harm's way to defend their country and the people who live in it.
Not only are the greatest warriors in anime strong physically, but they frequently also possess a unique set of skills that have been developed over many years of arduous training in order to best serve their country. It makes sense that some of the greatest heroes in anime would also be soldiers because the armed forces are full of real-life heroes who put their lives in danger every day for the benefit of their communities.

Most of these action sequences feature characters with various skills, and a large number possess some type of unique ability which makes them even more dangerous in battle. Many of these characters serve or previously served in some type of military, or they worked as mercenaries. Either way, these specific characters are all soldiers by trade, and they are good at what they do. Well-versed anime fans can identify some of anime's strongest soldiers, but there are other soldiers who deserve recognition as well.

7. Kenshin Himura (Rurouni Kenshin)
Hitokiri Battosai was Kenshin Himura's previous name before he became the kind-hearted traveling warrior known to his comrades by his real name. Because of his ruthlessness as a soldier during the Meiji Revolution, Kenshin earned the moniker "Hitokiri."
Kenshin made a promise to never kill again and to only use his sword to defend the helpless after the battle was over. Kenshin uses a Sakabato, a sword with a reversed blade that is unsuited for dealing fatal blows, to make sure he doesn't kill his opponents.

Although Kizaru has extremely potent Haki, he also consumed the Glint-Glint Fruit, which gives him the ability to produce and change into light.
